Portuguese study for yesterday

It is a good season to study.
The weather is not that hot or cold.
Just good enough to enjoy breeze while studying in my terrace.

Lisbon metro, the fastest way to get around.

Heading downtown, I always walk. It's an easy walk as my house is not all the way up on the hill. However, coming back, I usually take the metro. There are many buses but the subway is the fastest way to get home.  It usually runs from 6:30 to 1 a.m. but the schedule may change.  So if you want to go out at night and head back home-away-home late, then click  here  to make sure when the last train is.  It's a blessing to ride an escalator after a long day of walking.  Even after strolling through the nooks and crannies of Lisbon hills, you may want to use an elevator instead of stairs, especially with bad knees. Some metro stations in Lisbon do have elevators and escalators. Before lugging a heavy bag or babystroller, please plan ahead and check the wheelchair signs on the metro map first. My husband used to introduce books on TV. He reads voraciously and so do I. I am especially fond of old and rare books. Seeing the auction of rare books by Mauel II got me thinking who this man was. The last king of Portugal, that was all I knew. So I wanted to follow upon his life. Plane or Train or Bus, which is better?

After your lovely stay here in Lisbon, there are various ways to move onto the next destination. If it's not too far away, choosing trains over flights might be better way to save time in winter. Due to heavy mist, sometimes flights get delayed or canceled. Besides, when you go to the airport, you have to get there early and after getting off the plane, waiting for your luggage comes out can take some time. By using taxify app, it costs about five euros to get to the airport from my house. And to Rossio train station or  Santa Apolónia train station , the fare is usually between 3 to 5 euros. Oriente train station is kind of far but costs you less than 10 euros. Not bad, right? Rossio Train Station Traveling by train, it's smart to make a reservation way ahead.
