On the way to Cascais, you usually take a train from Cais do Sodre. Right across the road, there is a beautiful building. Inside you see Time out. It is a part of Mercado da Ribeira, one of the best markets in Lisbon. Ribeira market has a long history starting around 1100. At that time, the location was the-now-city hall square near comercio square. In the 1600s, it became widely known all over Europe and its location was in front of Casa dos Bicos . During 1755 earthquake, it was destroyed and in 1771 its location finally found its way here. In 1882, the building was constructed here and this year is usually considered the starting point of this Ribeira market. So in 2007 it celebrated its 125 anniversary. In 2014, timeout market was opened inside this building and now it draws all the visitor seeking gourmet experience from all over the world. Lisbon is the best place to tantalize your taste buds. Even Michelin restaurants are way more reasonable than other European countries. I count myself very lucky, enjoying all the gourmet foods here in Lisbon. As of 2019, there are two two-star restaurants and three one-star restaurants here in Lisbon. It has been upgraded from one-star to two-star this year and prices are more affordable.  Its google rating is 4.8. (2) Belcanto   Belcanto, the other two-star place, only got 4.6. Remember the restaurant near my house, only 3 minutes on foot? That place got 4.7 on google.
