Crowns attack the castle.
Crowns from Chapito attacked the Saint Jorge Castle this year again. Their performances have been happening for a while as a part of carnival celebrations. The parade starts in front of The Chapitô theater near the castle. The title of this year's program is 'Sieges and Circuses" starting at 3 o'clock on March 2nd. If you have yet to see this program, don't miss next year's. It's a must-see. Turning the whole castle into a big theater is a genius. At the ticket office of the castle, they handed me a leaflet, explaining all the detailed info on locations, hours, duration and even synopsis. Even if you don't know any Portuguese, there is nothing to worry about. No words are involved. Just looking at the lively faces of the performers is more than enough to understand what is happening.
