Recently I have been busy meeting Korean friends here in Lisbon.
So I only have time to study late in the late afternoon.

More and more Koreans are coming to Lisbon.
And I get to meet more Korean people, which is very nice.




Almost all the Korean people say,
the weather is milder and the food is great.

I hope they love Lisbon as much as I do.

The best time to visit the Belem Palace

National Palace of Belem , the official residence of the Portuguese President , is only open to the public on Saturdays. Palace gardens Cascade Gardens - the sculpture of Hercules  There are five guided tours at 10:30, 11:30, 14:30, 15:30, and 16:30. These are subject to change due to the presidential schedule, so it's safer to call and book in advance just to make sure. The number is 21-361-49-80. You can't see the inside of the palace on other days. However, should you decide to visit on Sundays, the museum and part of gardens are open and offer free admission to all visitors. The museum houses many precious items from the state figures all over the world.  Personally, the best time to visit the Belem Palace is on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Plane or Train or Bus, which is better?

After your lovely stay here in Lisbon, there are various ways to move onto the next destination. If it's not too far away, choosing trains over flights might be better way to save time in winter. Due to heavy mist, sometimes flights get delayed or canceled. Besides, when you go to the airport, you have to get there early and after getting off the plane, waiting for your luggage comes out can take some time. By using taxify app, it costs about five euros to get to the airport from my house. And to Rossio train station or  Santa Apolónia train station , the fare is usually between 3 to 5 euros. Oriente train station is kind of far but costs you less than 10 euros. Not bad, right? Rossio Train Station Traveling by train, it's smart to make a reservation way ahead. To promote tourism in Lisbon, Turismo de Lisboa has been offering free maps and info at Ask Me Lisboa booths all over Lisbon. They are information centers where you can also purchase a  Lisboa card  or  book attractions  in advance to gain fast track access. Some leaflet even has a coupon so it's a smart way to enjoy your visit. As one of the most popular booklets at the info center, you may not get one in your own language. Don't worry. Just visit the site and the download. All the info is provided in six languages, including English and Portuguese. Some visitors from Korea don't feel comfortable figuring it out in English so sometimes I help them to understand and find out whatever piques their interests. It is kind of time consuming but I enjoy every minute of it. By translation info into Korean, I get to learn more about what this city offers visitors from all over the world.
