There was an outdoor photography class. We took pictures of the statute of Catarina de Bragança, who was the queen of Charles II. From different angles, all the pictures looked very different. The teacher was very kind and articulate for me to understand everything he said in Portuguese. Very pleased with myself as I understood almost everything. What a pleasant feeling! Day by day I hope my Portuguese will improve.

Have you heard of Reiki? This morning I went to a meditation class called Reiki. Even though I am Korean and Korea is right by Japan, I didn't know about it before. Reiki is founded by a Japanese man, Dr. Micao Usui. The professor who teaches Reiki told me it is about meditation and healing from inside. Well, the class was very interesting and I was surprised by the number of Portuguese people who showed up at the class. The class was in Portuguese but I could understand a lot thanks to the professor who spoke very slowly for me. While she was healing people, we colored a picture as a means of meditation. My neighbor invited me to come to the open house of her senior university. In Korea, there are many senior universities so I was very curious about the ones here in Lisbon. There were classes on philosophy, computer, English, arts, meditation and so on. My Portuguese is not good and I am kind of young for the university but my friend asked the director of the university if I could take some classes. And he gave me a week to try all the classes for free to see if I can understand. All the classes are for the Portuguese so except English class, all are in Portuguese. Fun to learn Portuguese history. At first it was frustrating with all the proper names to remember. Now once getting used to them, it is much easier. Whether in Lisbon or in Porto, wherever I turn my head around, I can see at least one or two reminders of Portuguese history. Names of a street, a building or a bridge are after some important historical figures, which I find very impressive. More and more people are becoming interested in the real estate market here in Lisbon. There was an expo on housing markets so with my hubby, I went to see what was happening. Many Portuguese were there, looking for a house or info. There was a big line, offering a gelado from Santini so we enjoy it, too. It was interesting to use a VR device to see the inside of houses. Some booths had VR devices showing the flats they are now selling to the customers. I had some opportunities to talk with the agents in Portuguese. As they were saying slowly, I could understand almost all of the conversation. Felt great.

The Fork AP offers discounts up to 50%. So I booked a little restaurant called cafe no Chiado. It is located in a highly touristy spot. The famous Tram 28 passes right next to the cafe. The food we ordered was a salad and two main dishes and all of them were very satisfactory. My friend visiting from Korea said the food was one of the best she had while traveling in Europe. She has been traveling in Spain, Portugal and Iceland. So when she said 'one of the best' it means a lot, I guess. The rating is 8.8 out 10, which is so-so. But for me and her, the cafe gave us a very good experience.

There are about more than one thousand visitors in my Korean blog. Sometimes some of them ask me to show them around when they come to Lisbon.  Pedro IV My friend told me I have to charge them  but I don't know.  So far I never charged them any money at all  because I don't consider myself as their guide.  Loving this city and its history, I just want to share the wonderful experience with them.  Most of the people I met through my Korean blog are very nice and considerable.  But not all.  That's why my hubby is worried about my meeting strangers.  So I tried to be very careful.  Today I met a Korean girl who has contacted me for some time.  She traveled Spain first and now in Lisbon.  With her, I went to Military Museum again.  Nowadays with more and more people asking me to meet them,  it seems like I go to the museum at least once a week.
